SHARP EDGED

Know what you guys proved? That it’s the dance and the heart that matter, and not so much the stunts.

…Although, well, I suppose they do help.

Paper Lights.

Well, it’s certainly been a while since I’ve posted anything in here. This picture was taken in a park Korea, from our trip last May. I believe the paper lanterns were hung up for the celebration of Buddha’s birthday. You’d see them all around the city. Very pretty things.

You can’t tell by just looking at these two pictures, but that park was in the middle of about five groceries/malls/department stores, including several Lotte branches (Lotte has an establishment for everything. It’s… a little scary).

Love can break.

They say that love knows no bounds – that it sets aside age, nationality, social status, and breaks all other things. And this, no doubt, is a line that is rephrased and reused over and over. But do people still believe in it? No matter how nice and pleasing saying yes would be, the sad reality is that nowadays, people consider things like this reserved for pick-up lines and movies.

Rehabilitate the Zoo.

I know the animals at Manila Zoo are in a bad state. But PETA’s over-exaggerated actions calling on people to boycott the zoo will only make things worse. Two things: 1) most of these animals were bred in captivity, and they wouldn’t have survived if the conditions are as bad as they make it out to be, 2) this is the Philippines and, frankly speaking, a lot of Filipinos don’t care for animals.

It’s not a government facility, and kids are losing interest in animals. You can’t expect the zoo to make enough money to sustain what’s there. Inform the public and get people involved, and rehabilitate and expand the zoo, or find partners.

But hey, that’s just my opinion.

Guardians?
The Zodiac row (a repeated cycle) at the entrance of Shilla Millenium Park, Korea. I couldn’t get a proper picture of it though because people kept coming up to it to take pictures (I guess other people would’ve said the same about me).

Work It.

Had our last photography class today! It was a really great experience, and I definitely learned a lot.

Today we learned about studio mechanics (what with the lights and backdrops and all that fancy equipment). So… if any of you ever need a photographer… HAHA. As if. Imma take my photography to the next level, yo.

Watch the Birdie!
This is my old Sesame Street camera that my parents bought for me way back in kinder, as my prize after winning in a declamation contest.
When you press the small purple button in the front, it lights up and says “Smile, say cheese! Watch the birdie!” And it still works!

ekce:

Is there like a psychological aspect to how girls shop? I dunno if every girl’s like this, but I am, most of the girls I know are.

I find it. It. It’s gorgeous, it fits, it’s perfect. Yeaaah, maybe the price is a tad of a stretch. But it’s perfect…it’s perfect…so I’ll put it in the back and…
